We have been requested to make some thinner, lighter wheels for wheelie bars. They are designed for carbon fiber wheelie bars and other applications where weight and strength are of the most importance.

The thought process is for maximum weight savings yet retaining the butter smooth performance that has made Wheeleze the ‘standard’ in wheelie bar wheels.

To obtain approximately 35% less weight and to retain the smooth and precise rotation we did several things. First, the wheel was re-engineered for a higher modulus polymer (stronger) and it utilizes a lighter set of bearings.

The polymer is adequate for most applications as are the bearings. That said, the standard Wheeleze wheel is still our recommendation for most other applications.

The wheel may be used on most applications up to Pro Stock and Top Sportsman.

Cars that use the wheels ‘harder’ should use the standard Wheeleze wheel as it is of a stronger design and application. It is also designed to help prevent the third member from unloading by absorbing shock. The Lites will not absorb shock in the same manner due to the required different polymer – with long bars this is not an issue but with shorter bars it is very important to help prevent unloading the third member.

If you are on the wheels for more than 100ft. we recommend the standard wheel. Also, we recommend the standard wheel for applications like Pro Mod and Nitro Harley as these are much harder on the wheels. Standard Wheeleze are designed for these applications.

Like Wheeleze II the Wheeleze Lite should be a conscious decision based on your specific requirements.
